A walk into Georgetown!!!

Yes - we walked from Chain Bridge in to Georgetown, had a coffee then walked back! It was a great walk and good exercise!

We parked over on Canal Road and walked down the towpath. The Canal was frozen solid so we crossed from the car park without having to go over the bridge!!!!

Me standing on the ice!! See the kids playing Ice Hockey in the background. There were about 4 hockey pitches marked out. We think the canal had been drained as it was only about a foot deep and solid.

The Potomac River was also frozen!!!!! I love the way the current has made the patterns in the ice.
